Panasonic Plasma 3D TV and LED TV; Panasonic 2011 Impressive Lineup of LED and 3D Plasma TV models.

Panasonic has long been the leader in Plasma TV manufacturing and that is not about to change in 2011 as the company has introduced a substantial line of plasma TVs. But there are also LED TVs present in this years models – actually a surprising 4 different models of LED TVs. But Panasonic is keeping the sizes small in the LED TV offerings and focusing on Plasma TVs in the larger sizes. Some of the new models in the LED TV series of Panasonic offerings are the 37 and 32” DT30 series of LED.

Plasma TVs are split up for Panasonic between full HD Plasma at 1080p and HD plasma which is the 720p variety of Plasma. There are 14 full HD plasma TVs for 2011 and 7 of the less expensive value oriented 720p.

Panasonic is maintaining its lead in Plasma TV manufacturing as it had one of the most popular models available in 2010 – the Panasonic TC-P50S2. This was one of the top selling plasma TVs in the market though it was not 3D ready.

Panasonics top VT25 plasma 3D TV series was also a top seller. Here are some comments about the TV from reviewers. The VT25 series 3D plasma is being replaced by the VT30 series for 2011.

Panasonic 3D TV Viewing: “The glasses were not easy to get used to as they were bulky and heavy. It took us about 20 minutes to get used to wearing the 3D glasses on the Panasonic VT25 series 3D television. For one reviewer that wears prescription glasses it took longer and was never really comfortable. In the negative category, we experienced flashing from the glasses when there was room or ambient light present. This was apparently caused by the ambient light interfering with the infrared receiver on the glasses. Turning your head away from the TV can also cuase the glasses to shut off and turn back on again when you look back to the TV. Without other light sources in the room we didn't experience the issue. I also found that keeping my head still during viewing. Overall, after I got used to it, I enjoyed the experience and the movie (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs). The big question: Did the 3D movie, TV, and glasses enhance the experience? For me the answer is yes, it did, I felt that it enveloped me in the movie more. 3D TV is all about making the viewer feel more involved in the content and I would agree that it succeeded in that. On a critical note about the Panasonic VT25 I felt the edges were distractingly out of focus at times, in comparison to the Samsung which we were also reviewing.

Panasonics new LED TVs are up an coming and 2011 will be an important year for them. Following are some of Panaonics specifications for the new LED TV series:
