International Procedures


How do you intend to pay?

First time customers using a credit card need to follow the three steps list below to establish a DVDCity account.

American ExpressIf you use your American Express you will not have to fax in any documents providing you have your order shipped to the billing address on the American Express. Just simply place your order and wait for FED-EX to show up at your door.

Please Note: All International Orders for amounts grater than $600 must be paid by bank wire transfer. (see below).

Important, all first time customers using a credit card must complete 3 steps :

1. FAX A PHOTO COPY OF THE CREDIT CARD
We must be able to see the numbers on the credit card. Please note we can only ship to the billing address for the credit card. If you wish to further facilitate the process, please also fax a copy of the credit card statement showing the billing address.

2. Write on the FAX : (the FAX must include the following language)
I (your name) authorize DVDCity to charge my credit card for the delivery of (whatever you ordered), to be shipped to (State the address), pursuant to the policies of DVDT, listed at the website at DVDCity.com.
Signed : (your signature)
Date : (the current date)
Telephone Number (xxxxxxxxxx)

3. Place the order online or by fax
ONLINE - Completing our secure online order form This is the easiest and fastest method, we will confirm your order within 24 hours, usually much less, with the order number and tracking number if the goods have already been dispatched.

FAX - please print out a copy of our order page and fax it to 404 352 1970, we will e-mail or call order conformation upon receipt of your fax order. Please ensure your daytime / evening telephone number and e-mail address are attached.

Bank Wire Tansfers

Q: Can I Wire the money to DVDCity/DTVCity? A: Yes, we do accept bank wires, call 1-888-965-6400 or e-mail orders@dvdcity.com for the bank information. You will also need to place an online order and state in the payment options that you are wiring the money. This will ensure prompt dispatch of your order once we receive the incoming wire. Please note: all bank wire transfer orders will incur a $30 service charge.

Q: Do you accept checks? A: We accept both cashers checks and money orders. Please print out our order form and call 1-888-965-6400 for payment information.

Product Availability
Q: How do I know if you have an item in stock?
A: Though we take every measure to only advertise what we have available in stock we occasionally run out of certain high demand products. We will notify you should this happen and give you the option of reserving or cancelling your order. Most items listed on our web site are kept routinely in stock. The easiest way to check product availability is to call one of our sales representatives at (404) 352 0007. We will be able to tell you if we can ship the product you are interested in immediately. You may also e-mail our sales department to check for product availability.

Shipping Methods
Q: How do you ship the merchandise?
DVD City ships all international orders for DVD players using FED-EX International Economy, which is one of the fastest shipping services available worldwide. We will e-mail your tracking number. International orders normall ship the next business day after the order has been received.

Q: Do you ship items to APO/FPO addresses?
Yes, please select USPS shipment on the online order form, we will ship your goods by the USPS.

Q: Do I have to pay Import duties?
A: Typically FED-EX or other carrier will mail you a bill for any duties and taxes about 2 weeks after you receive your goods. The customer is responsible for any duties and taxes resulting from these charges. If for any reason, these charges are deferred to DVDCity, we will charge your credit card for the cost of the taxes and duties and send you a copy of the bill.

International Returns Procedure - DVD Players
If your product is defective in any way please call us at (404) 352 0007 to obtain an RMA number. Defective goods will be replaced upon receipt of the defective product. All defective returns must be return shipped within 14 days of receipt. All non defective returns must be return shipped within 14 days of receipt and are subject to a 15% restocking fee plus shipping charges.

Defective International orders will be replaced. Freight charges of the return product and shipping of the replacement product are the customers responsibility. DVDCity requires that International customers pay for the shipping of a defective DVD player back to DVDCity.

All returned products must be returned in the original boxes with ALL contents included. Any products not in their original packaging and in their original condition will be refused. If you prefer, we can apply a full refund, excluding the shipping and handling charges. DVDCity is not responsible for the shipping charges on any international returns. In order to issue the RMA we need:

1. Your name and daytime telephone number
2. Your e-mail address
3. The product title being returned

All returns must include all accessories in original new condition.

Do not write the RMA number on the product box. This makes it non-resalable and you will be charged for replacing the box. Please display the RMA number on the outside packaging box.

International Returns Procedures - All TVs
Q: What if I don't like the product and want a refund?
A: All TV returns of non-faulty merchandise are subject to a 15% to 22% re stocking fee (We sell used products at a 15-25% reduction). The customer is responsible for any shipping charges. An RMA must be requested before return shipping. All returns must include all accessories and boxes in original new condition.

Q: How do you ship the TVs internationally?
A: We ship TVs internationally using very reliable freight carriers such as FedEx and Bax Global to get you the best possible freight solution value.

Freight Damages
DTVCity/DVDCity is not responsible for damages to freight on international orders. DTVCity will purchase freight insurance on the customers behalf with the freight carrier. However, Freight claims must be filed by the customer directly with the freight carrier.

Freight Forwarders
In the event that an international customer is having merchandise shipped to a freight forwarder in the U.S., DTVCity's responsibility for the freight ends with the signing of the freight bill by the freight forwarder. The freight bill of lading will be the guiding document between the two parties. Normal domestiv U.S. policies apply for freight to a freight forwarder. DTVCity cannot be held responsible for freight damages occuring between the freight forwarder and the international recipient customer. DTVCity recommends that international customers purchase freight insurance to cover any damages that could occur between the freight forwarder and end user.

Cancellations
Q: Can I cancel my order if it has been shipped but I have not received it?
If you wish to cancel your order after it has been shipped you will be charged a 10% restocking fee plus the cost of the freight outbound and return. There is no charge for cancellations before the merchandise has shipped.
